Silver Palm Park is looking good! Actually, it always looks good thanks to our excellent landscaping crews, but it looks even better now with freshly paved pathways and new refuse bins.
The parks within the neighborhoods of Boca Del Mar are our little local treasures. These areas, while beautifying their surrounding neighborhoods, contain very practical retention ponds which are an important part of the complex, integrated system of canals, waterways and flood control devices operated by the South Florida Water Management District.
Like anything of value, time takes its toll on the walkways and structures in these parks, and they need periodic refurbishing, replacement and restoration. These projects are not part of our landscaping budget. Our Asset Replacement Fund is used to cover the cost to pay for them. In this case a professional paving company was engaged to repave all the walkways in the park.
Our Property Manager, Jay Burko keeps a list of projects requiring contractors and materials and gives them a priority according to which is most urgent. The most urgent are then scheduled for work.
Our next project will be Parque Placido located on the north side of Boca Del Mar Drive, between the Arium and Woodhaven communities, and we have two similar projects scheduled for 2023.
